Oregon Identity Theft

In Oregon, a person commits identity theft occurs when converts someone else’s personal identifying information to his own use in order to deceive or defraud.    The written statute is Oregon Rev. Stat. § 165.800.  Also see the Oregon Identity Theft Protection Act (§§ 646A.600-628).
