Mississippi Identity Theft

In Mississippi, identity theft (referred to as fraudulent use ofidentity) occurs when a person uses another individual’s personal identifying information to fraudulently obtain, among other things, goods, services or anything of value.  The governing statute is Mississippi Code Ann. § 97-19-85.
